Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy
Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy is to ensure compliance with applicable anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorism financing (CTF), fraud prevention regulations, and CSBattle’s strict policies against underage users. This policy establishes rigorous procedures to verify the identity and age of account holders, prevent unauthorized or underage access, and maintain the integrity of RustBattle's services.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all individuals registering for an account on CSBattle. Compliance is mandatory for all users engaging in financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, or other account activities. KYC verification is required immediately for any transaction involving a credit card to verify the user’s identity and age for AML, fraud prevention, and underage policy compliance.
3. KYC Verification Levels
CSBattle implements a tiered KYC process to verify user identity and ensure compliance. Verification is triggered as soon as a credit card is used in a transaction or upon CSBattle's request for other account activities.
3.1. Level 1 KYC: Basic Identity Verification
Required Documents:
- Government-Issued Identification: A valid passport, national ID card, or driver’s license. The document must include the user’s full name, date of birth, photograph, and a unique identification number. The date of birth is verified to ensure the user is of legal age per CSBattle’s strict underage policies.
Purpose:
- Verify the user’s identity and confirm they are not underage.
- Ensure compliance with AML and fraud prevention requirements.
3.2. Level 2 KYC: Enhanced Verification
Required Documents:
- Proof of Address: A utility bill, bank statement, or government-issued document dated within the last three months, clearly showing the user’s full name and residential address.
Purpose:
- Conduct enhanced due diligence for higher-risk accounts or transactions.
- Further confirm the user’s identity and residential details.
3.3. Level 3 KYC: Source of Income Verification
Required Documents:
- Documentation verifying the source of income, such as payslips, tax returns, bank statements, or other financial records, as requested by CSBattle.
Purpose:
- Applied on a case-by-case basis for accounts requiring additional scrutiny, such as those with unusually high transaction volumes or suspected AML risks.
- Ensure the legitimacy of funds used on the platform.
3.4. Submission Guidelines
- All documents must be clear, legible, and unedited.
- Documents must be owned by the account holder. Third-party documents or documents belonging to another individual are strictly prohibited.
- Users must submit documents through the secure CSBattle verification portal.
4. Verification Process
4.1. Document Review
- CSBattle will verify the authenticity of submitted documents using automated and manual review processes.
- The user’s identity details (e.g., name, date of birth) must match across all submitted documents and the account registration information.
- For credit card transactions, the cardholder name from the transaction must match the verified account holder’s name.
4.2. Data Consistency
- Any discrepancy between the account registration information, submitted documents, or transaction details will result in the immediate suspension of the account pending further review.
- Examples of discrepancies include, but are not limited to:
- Mismatched names or dates of birth.
- Use of documents not owned by the account holder.
- Credit card transactions where the cardholder name does not match the verified account holder.
